With a more streamlined schedule on offer this year, the show organisers are hoping that newcomers in particular will find it easier to choose the class or classes in the competitions that suit their own culinary, artistic and horticultural efforts.
The criteria have been simplified and, being more general, offer greater freedom to interpret the descriptions creatively. There are fewer classes but as many opportunities to include the same interests, skills and talents as in previous years.
All gardeners, crafters, makers, designers and artists are encouraged to have a good look at the Show Brochure and to consider entering something they have produced over the last 12 months.
You just need to pull out the entry form from the middle of the brochure or download it from this website and have sent it to the show clerk at the beginning of August as detailed at the bottom of the form.
There’s still time to finish off those projects or even start something new! Being dependent on the weather, gardening entries are somewhat precarious but by now you may be able to spot some potential in your flowers, fruit or vegetables. Whatever you might enter, please think about giving it a go….. good luck!
