INTRODUCTION

There will be an online virtual show to include the following sections only

 D Cut flowers, E Pot Plants, F Fruit G Vegetables K Art

 L Photography. N Front Gardens.( Evington in Bloom)

The show will not be judged and will be informal and non-competitive.

No entry fee or entry form is required.  Selected photos will be published in autumn issues of the Evington Echo as last year.

Exhibitors will need to submit photos of the exhibits during the first week in August and email them as a jpeg file to John Pelmore or take prints to Bennett’s.  The closing date will be Saturday 7th August with viewing from the 14th.  This year’s schedule is overleaf.  The 2019 schedule and rules is still on the fete website for reference. Please note the photography classes will be different this year (themes plants, pets and wildlife, landscape, architecture, monochrome).  should look Guidance on photographing the exhibits is on the final page of this leaflet. All entrants will receive a certificate.

PHOTOGRAPHY GUIDELINES

You do not have to photograph the exhibit yourself.  Some one else cab do it for you if appropriate (does not apply to section L!!)

Please use a plain background when photographing.  Many exhibits are best on a black background.  Small fruit and vegetables should be displayed on a white paper plate.  Larger ones on a kitchen work top or plain tablecloth.

Photographs should be submitted by email to jmpelmore@yahoo.co.uk as a jpegfile with a filesize of around 1Mb. If you cannot do this editing should be possible. Landscape format is preferred but square or portrait format will be accepted.  You can also take in prints to Bennett’s.

Section K Art There is no need for the picture to be framed, It is better to photograph without glass to avoid reflections. Please photograph “square on”-If you have a sufficiently large scanner for the picture, this will usually give the best results.

Entries will appear on the web pages with names as in the usual show cards, but if you would like initials only or first name and initial please let me know.

RULES&CONDITIONS

1 All classes are open to all amateur exhibitors, unless otherwise stated,

2 Entries close on Saturday 7th August at midnight. No entries will be accepted after this time.

 3 Eligibility of exhibitors: on all questions regarding the eligibility of an exhibitor, the decision of the Committee shall be final.

4 Acceptance of entries: the Committee reserves the right to refuse any entry and, in the event of such a refusal, it is not required to give any reason or explanation.

 5 All entries are to be home produced by the exhibitor unless stated otherwise in the show schedule. Any plant, flower, fruit or vegetable exhibited in the competition must be the property of the person in whose name it is entered and must have been grown from seed/cutting or been in their possession or cared for by them for at least two months prior to the date of the show.

6. Competitors may enter no more than one exhibit in any one                    class, two or more persons may not compete separately in the

 same class with produce from the same garden and/or allotment.
